Heart to Heart

Designed by Alex Schwartzberg and Joyce Tsui

Heart to Heart is an app that makes navigating mental health easier for multilingual families. This app concept won third place in the Adobe Creative Jam: Design for Good challenge.

Our Approach

We wanted to address a common issue in our community, which is that multilingual families often have trouble discussing mental health openly.  Cultural and language barriers can stand in the way, as well as a lack of resources readily available in different languages.

We designed Heart to Heart by interviewing parents and children of multilingual families to find out what struggles they faced and how to best approach them.
